I'm Sam Luker, a 17-year-old AI architect and cybersecurity engineer based in Oxfordshire, UK — and the founder of Switchyard.
While most people my age are figuring out what they want to do, I'm already doing it. Through Switchyard I design, build, and ship production-grade AI tools for real businesses: intelligent automation systems, agent architectures, and full-stack applications that solve actual problems.
On the security side, I'm pursuing a T-Level in Cybersecurity at Cirencester College, where I study penetration testing, network security, and threat analysis. I don't just understand how systems are built; I understand how they break.
That dual perspective, builder and breaker, is what I bring to every project. I build systems that are robust because I know how to attack them.

A full-featured desktop note-taking application with integrated AI assistance, wikilink navigation, knowledge graph visualisation, and real-time markdown rendering. Built as a powerful alternative to Obsidian with deep AI integration for cybersecurity studies.

Advanced real-time meeting transcription system using Parakeet ASR with Windows dual audio capture. Captures both microphone and system audio simultaneously, producing accurate transcripts with speaker identification and AI-powered summaries.

Scheduling bot with REST API
A production Discord bot with a full REST API for scheduling and managing reminders. Features natural language time parsing, recurring reminders, and a robust SQLite backend. Deployed on Fly.io with zero-downtime deployments.

Real-time monitoring dashboard for tracking AI model performance, availability, and response metrics across multiple providers. Alerts on degradation and provides historical analytics for capacity planning.

Designing and shipping production-grade AI tools and automation systems for businesses. Building and maintaining 5+ live projects spanning Python, Node.js, and TypeScript. Training external business clients on AI tool adoption and workflow automation.

Pursuing Pearson T-Level in Cybersecurity. Building deep knowledge in network security, threat analysis, penetration testing methodologies, and security legislation including GDPR and the Computer Misuse Act.
Ongoing
Hands-on experience with Nmap, Burp Suite, and Metasploit in virtual lab environments. Actively studying CVE databases, emerging threats, and practising penetration testing methodologies in controlled environments.
Next milestones
Pursuing CompTIA Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), with a long-term goal of achieving OSCP to complement my T-Level qualification and professional consulting experience.
